A Workshop Exploring Life and Art Metaphors
Saturday, September 16th and Sunday, September 17th
“Stories make us more alive, more human, more courageous, more loving.”
— Madeleine L’Engle, writer
As we move through our lives, we gather so many impressions. We love and embrace life, and we get disconnected and lose direction. We are constantly surrounded by the sensory world, and people that affect and influence us. Events in our lives bring difficulty as others bring celebration. All of these memories are stored in our bodies. Using movement and creativity, seasoned teacher and arts expert Adriana Marchione will share her embodied approach. Through drawing, dance, and creative writing this weekend will allow participants to listen to their life stories and the emotions, sensations and images that accompany them in a supportive setting. This weekend will provide a special opportunity to explore memories with imagination and compassion in order to honor the past and expand the future. No art or movement experience required.
When: Saturday, September 16th, 10am-5:30pm, Sunday, September 17th, 10am – 5pm
Location: Maison de paroisse de Chamblandes, Pully, Switzerland
Cost: $230CHF (if registered by August 16) 250CHF Regular Fee

THE CREATIVE CONNECTION
An Expressive Arts Weekend Engaging the Body, Emotion and Life Stories
Saturday, September 23rd and Sunday, September 24th
Art nourishes the soul and supports us to make meaning out of the human experience. The practice of expressive arts deepens the connection to our pure nature, and helps us build stronger relationships to others and the world around us.
Come join us for an engaging weekend and experience the power of the arts. Using movement and a body-based orientation, Adriana will use the life/art approach, which blends creativity and personal expression to explore the body’s landscape, emotions and personal stories. Through drawing, dance, poetry and performance, this weekend will allow participants to find quiet time to focus inside, move through blocks and stuck places, gather inspiration from other group members, and gather in a supportive environment to allow dynamic art-making. Artists, dancers, bodyworkers, arts therapists and expressive arts students are encouraged to attend, but anyone who is interested in learning more about the creative process is welcome. No art experience is required!
When: September 23rd and 24th, 10am – 5:30pm
Where: Studio Le Théâtre du Corps, Alfortville, France
Cost: $230€ (if registered by August 23rd) 250€ Regular Fee

MENDING THE DIVIDE
A Movement and Arts Workshop Honoring Differences, Finding Connections
Saturday, September 30th
In this time of unrest and fragmentation, there are universal truths we all share, and unique expression we can each contribute. Yet, it is easy to get lost in fear, disconnection and hopelessness in the current social climate. The arts are a bridge back to understanding and hope, as we have learned for centuries through ancient arts rituals and stories told through spoken word, the written word, illustration, dance, theater, music and film.
Creativity expert and movement coach, Adriana Marchione comes to Munich to share her unique expressive arts approach (influenced by Anna Halprin and the Tamalpa Life/Art Process) to mend our divisions in this one day workshop. Using dance, visual art, creative writing and performance we will explore the narratives and challenges that arise in daily life, develop creative strategies to communicate with integrity and care for ourselves and others, and embody the change we want to see in the world.
When: Saturday, September 30th, 10am – 5:30pm
Where: Studio To be Announced, Munich, Germany
Cost: $120 € (if registered by August 30) $135 € Regular Fee
Contact: Callie Arnold at firstname.lastname@example.org for information or to register
